Following two rounds of rigorous judging, this year’s shortlist for the industry’s ‘pub Oscars’ – the Great British Pub Awards – has been announced and we are thrilled to say Gordon has been announced as a finalist in the Pub Chef of the year category.
Hundreds of pubs entered the prestigious competition before judges whittled down the list twice and from here, the final entries were decided.
Contenders across the multitude of categories will be visited by judges over the next few weeks before winners will be determined. This year’s awards will be a new hybrid format including a livestream awards ceremony and an overall GBPA winners’ event.
Editor of The Morning Advertiser, which organises the awards, Ed Bedington said: “The tough judging process is always difficult due to the high standard of the pubs that enter. However, those decisions have now been made, and we have a very strong list of finalists that will be in the running to take the title of each of the categories, with one exceptional winner going on to be crowned the overall Great British Pub of the Year.”
We wish Gordon the best of luck and we hope he can bring home the title!
